Thomas D. Glascock, Esq.
is the firm’s principal, and his professional mission is to help clients develop, implement, and maintain planning that works, both for today and tomorrow.
Very active in the local and legal communities, Tom is a resident of the Town of Huntington and also serves as deputy director of the Town’s legal department.
A recipient of the Long Island Business News 2013 Leadership in Law Award, Tom is a graduate of the Leadership Huntington program; a member of the Board of Directors for the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, and former member of Executive Committee and Board Treasurer; former member of the Board of Directors, and current member of Presidents’ Council, to the Leadership Huntington Foundation (formerly known as the Huntington Chamber Foundation); former member of Board of Directors to The Huntington Arts Council; member of Board of Trustees to The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum; appointed member of the Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (ACLD) audit committee; appointed member of the Molloy College Business Advisory Council; member of the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of Suffolk County; an Elder and Trustee for Old First Presbyterian Church of Huntington; and a member of the New York State, Suffolk County, and Nassau County Bar Associations.
Tom is also a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, and once served the New York State Bar Association as chair to its Cyberspace and Taxation Subcommittee and as a member of its Special Committee on Cyberspace Law, to which he was personally appointed by the then President of the New York State Bar Association. Further, Tom has spoken on legal and community issues numerous times, and he has authored several published professional articles.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, where he regularly made the Dean’s List, was a member of the track team, was named to the NCAA Student Athlete Academic Honor Roll, and was a member of the National Psychological Honors Society (PSI CHI). He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, where he served on the editorial board of the Buffalo Law Review and was published in Who’s Who: American Law Students. Tom also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he was the recipient of the Berkline MBA Fellowship and the John C. Cox Memorial MBA Fellowship, and he won the Law School’s Highest Grades Award for its Environmental Law Programs. Tom is currently pursuing a Master of Law (LLM) in Taxation and a Master of Law (LLM) in Estate Planning from Golden Gate University School of Law.
Tom has been married to his college sweetheart, Leslie, for more than twenty (20) years, and they have three (3) daughters. An Eagle Scout, Tom has hiked 45 of 46 Adirondack mountains over 4,000 feet in height, and, when not working, he enjoys spending time with his family; biking; hiking; watching college sports; reading; browsing through book stores and libraries; relaxing in comfortable coffee shops; and listening to blues music.
