I am very excited to have my new updated website up and running. It has been a long time coming, as I have been wanting to update and upgrade my site for awhile now. With the help of some excellent people, I am proud to share the final result with my friends, family and clients—along with anyone else visiting the site for the first time.
What Drives Me
Having this website built was actually a good lesson for me, as I leaned on the expertise of marketing and web development professionals to get this site reworked. It is okay to ask for professional help sometimes, especially when it comes to developing your own life plan. As an attorney, I specialize in estate planning, exit planning and business planning. I work with many different types of people, from high-level executives and affluent business owners to regular folks (individuals and families) who wish to have a thorough legal plan in place to protect against both the anticipated and unanticipated.
I have a family myself. I have been married to my wife, Leslie, for more than 25 years. She was actually my college sweetheart, and we now have three beautiful daughters together. As I became a licensed attorney, built my own law firm and raised my family, I came to understand that estate planning and business planning (and helping individuals through these needs) is a true calling. I too wish to make certain that my family would be protected and taken care of if I could no longer provide for them, and that my business has a proper succession plan in place (and my clients are also taken care of) for when the time comes.
Putting Your Plan Together
My goal as an attorney is to help my clients with their important life (and after life) planning. It can be difficult discussing these issues, but it is critical to have a plan in place both to protect against life’s dangers and to permit you to realize your life goals. On my new blog, I will be making posts on a wide variety of estate planning, succession/exit planning and general business planning topics, to help others along through their personal and professional journeys. If you follow my blog and/or sign up for my monthly newsletters, you will see that I use the words “plan” and “planning” quite a lot. This is on purpose, because developing plans is what my legal firm is all about.
- What will happen with your wealth and assets when you are gone?
- Will your family have what they need?
- How can you prepare yourself and your business for your retirement or other exit?
- How will your business be affected if you retire or pass away?
These are just a few of the key questions I help my clients answer on a daily basis, and they are some of topics we will be covering in my ongoing blog series. My objective as an attorney is to help you think about important issues like these while also providing general information, personal insight and helpful resources that will enable you to make better life and business planning decisions. From taxes and wealth preservation to probate and estate issues, I hope to give you some food for thought as you develop your own plan.
